Oops...sorry about the wrong spelling, shmeep.
And I would like to point out that I only did the kissing the TV thing ONCE, and I missed, and ended up kissing Uncle Jesse, which clearly was not as gratifying.

housemouse, 'tis true, I have many, many, many ways I could embarrass shmeep. But there is the inverse as well, so I will probably be careful. But she already told me that she had given away my TV kissing habit- which happened ONCE, at a slumber party!-so I was all ready prepared to share.

Very funny about the mascara! I stopped using it after I had cataract surgery because I was afraid I'd poke myself, (and couldn't really get it on without a hugely magnified mirror) and have never gotten back in the habit of wearing it. Not that anyone noticed.

I have poked myself with the mascara wand while SEEING MYSELF UP CLOSE in the mirror! And it is painful! I guess that is the first thing I would dispose of if I ever get eye problems.

Or you can always get them professionally tinted at a salon...

Back to Braille: does anyone else know of good books to keep learning? I have a four volume set of the first Harry Potter for practice! But for learning? I'd check on the www.afb.org site or www.nfb.org site. Probably can find links from there.

Hi. I'm new here, but I love Blind Justice and I just bought "Braille for the Sighted". I'm about half way through the alphabet and trying to learn the rest, but I'm one of those people who learan better in a class room environment. Go figure.
Hi Kenina... I found the place to be. Yippe!!

Funny, because I make custom Braille shirts with little crystals that spell out the words. Turning out to be a popular item. I did several for people that read "Blind Justice" when the show first aired. I have one of those shirts -- thanks, Alice! Mine is black with crystals that are yellow/orange/pink. I still wear it out. Everyone looks at it, but nobody asks about it. They'd get an earful if they did.

They'd get an earful if they did. I used to have a shirt I got from The Braille Institute, where I used to work with Deaf/blind people. It had a little Braille insignia on the front and guys (sighted guys) seemed to think it was funny when they asked if I would allow them to read it.

Yeah, was wearing one the other day (my Brooklyn Bridge braille sign) and the guy in the comic shop asked if I was asking for sexual harassment. Then he said..."If you get cold, does that change the spelling?"

Looks neat. It says your keyboard needs to accept multiple keystrokes. What does that mean and how do you know? It doesn't explain that.

Looks neat. It says your keyboard needs to accept multiple keystrokes. What does that mean and how do you know? It doesn't explain that. This means that your keyboard will be used like a Braille Writer, but that instead of having six keys and a space bar, as you would on at real Braille Writer, you will be using F D S and J K L as your six keys. Any combination of those keys will be what makes the braille letters. If, for example, you want to make an "a" in Braille, you would only need to press the "F" key. A Braille "G," however, would require you to press F D J K at the same time to create that symbol and that would only work if your keyboard recognizes multiple keystrokes. Hope this makes sense. I used to work in a Braille class at The Braille Institute with a bunch of Deaf-blind people, so I got to putz around with the equipment a bit. I'm sure Kyt knows a lot more, right Kyt?

I tried it, but usually only got one letter--sometimes more if I was a little off. But, silly me, I probably have to install one of the braille programs they list before I can see if it really works. Or, since I got one letter most of the time, does that mean it would work?
