We don't really understand being cold here - luckily we get to experience it now becasue travel is so much more accessible. Oh yeah--lucky you! Speaking of cold--we have a winter storm warning in effect right now. From now until Monday, we will have mega mega snow, and the HIGH temperatures are -25 to -30. You still want to "understand" cold? Modified to add: Sorry, I'm a little bitter and PO'd about the weather right now!Your little cold front will be swooping down on us this coming week. Today's high was about 23. The last time I remember -25 was the blizzard in the 1970's. They say we are in for rain then sleet then snow, the winter grab bag! Last weekend we had snow and ice and several accidents. Best to stay in. Maybe Matilda could handle my winter weather ;D

Somehow I missed the winter pics from NYC. They are beautiful. When I went three years ago, all the Christmas decorations were gone already. Here in Denver, they always stay up until the end of January.

Hi Everyone, I had a great time in England. Hoosier, I didn't forget the camera. I took it everywhere I went and got tons of pics. I'll post some over the next few days. Since I'm still on England time, it's 3:00 am for me. I am falling asleep so I can't even type you anything tonight but I will tomorrow.

Anita, We missed you, welcome back, and I am looking forward to seeing your pictures too. Recover from the jet lag first. As much as I want to tell you all about it and post some pictures, I have to rest up first. I slept until 12:30 today, which I never do and I'm still very tired. Just be patient. It will start coming in a day or two.

Big Ben Changing of the guard Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the part inside the palace. It was quite crowded and I had to choose what part to get a view of. I couldn't get close enough to see in the palace so I decided just to stay where I was and at least see the comings and goings. This was just outside Buckingham Palace and is a memorial to Queen Victoria I think. This guy must have come to the park alot because the birds came right to him and so did the squirrels....... This is a fence. Trees are cut sideways with only a small portion left to grow by the root. The trees grow sideways forming the fence. Henry the 8th at Warwick Castle. (Which is awesome and very lifelike) Holding hands with a butler in Warwick Castle On the grounds of Warwick...

Great Pictures Anita. Looks like spring has arrived there, by the flowers in the park and the trees in bloom. Can it be far behind here? brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....(.21 degrees on my back porch this morning. )
