Can you imagine living in a place like that? The cost of living today would make it impossible but if I was extremely wealthy, like Bill Gates wealthy, it would be fun to give it a try. And yes, I saw Mary lurking in the background ;D You gals always seem to have the most fun.

I love to go to places like that! We have one like that here. It is the Molly Brown house. I should go there one of these days. As usual Kathy, your photos are superb!

Hey that is a coincidence Lindy! Molly Brown was on the Titanic along with Mr. Astor. Only difference is ........she survived. And speaking of the icy Atlantic, I gave up the plunge this year. Kind of disappointed in myself but family members all had other obligations and I did not want to do it by myself. I went down to the beach to watch but kept my clothes on. Oh well, maybe next year. |

GREAT pictures! I find it hard to believe, however, that Mr. Astor slept under those cheesy-looking plaid bedspreads (which sure did clash with the wallpaper  ). That said, I'd take that kitchen stove in a heartbeat!!! |
