In Marlon's Brando, when Jim and Karen were going to stake out Marlon Condell's apt. Fresh Marty said "His apt is in the East Village. If you'd like I'll draw a map on your face" Well ,the East Village is in Manhattan. When Condell commits suicide Jim calls for a "bus" to respond to " some number, Washington St. in Brooklyn."

Very observant of you and something I would never have known.

The picture of Jim's house posted by Kenina, on Fanatics, Ron Eldard, is on Washington Street, Brooklyn, she said. Hhmmm wouldn't that make Jim and Marlon neighbors? Maybe he just got mixed up with his own address and had the bus sent there, by mistake, instead of to the East Village (on Myrtle Street according to the street sign). OK I'm going to get a life starting now.

OK I'm going to get a life starting now. The scene where Karen and Jim get out of the car and walk across the street was filmed at the intersection of Washington and Myrtle AVENUES in Brooklyn, best I can figure. (As an aside, according to my friend, that is a scary area of town!) The Dunbar residence is located at Plymouth and Washington STREETS, right next to the Manhattan Bridge (interestingly, the same place Ron's scene in Scent of a Woman was filmed). But in any case, there is a definite blooper with the East Village vs. Brooklyn locations mentioned in the show. I'm sure they figure most people don't know NYC well enough to realize that stuff. They don't count on nuts like us to seize on every word!

Now I was only in Manhattan for five days, but watching episodes since then I have noticed a HUGE blooper. Walking in Manhattan I noticed that around 85 - 90% of the cars on the road are taxis. I was just watching Up on the Roof and didn't see a single cab. Maybe Mrs. E and Maggie can confirm that this is indeed a major blunder.

Another traffic-related blooper: When Jim and Christie go to get Hank at the end of "Doggone," the street where they meet Artie is completely empty -- no traffic, no parked cars. In NYC? I don't think so, even if it is supposed to be the middle of the night. Even if it's a side street with little traffic, there should at least be parked cars along both sides of the street.

In Four Feet Under, at the end when Christie is sitting on the bed getting ready to leave Jim, the editors have flopped the film for RE's part. The window is on the opposite side, and the part in his hair is now on the other side, and the crease on the left side of his face is now on his right. ( I'll say it again -- I really need a life!). Can't figure out if they changed the blocking halfway through the shoot but still liked the other take.... Thanks to mlm's post the other day of a screencap from Doggone that I found particularly attractive...I realized that this is flopped, too. So tonight I made the sacrifice and watched the episode again. Guess what ladies (and Carl) the shaving scene that opens the episode is flopped, too. Jim's hair is normally parted on his left and the scar is on his left temple. His left temple is clearly visible in this scene - where's the scar? (Sorry, I couldn't find screen caps for this one. Maybe someone else can help me out. Forward to the scene with the chief of D's, which is where mlm's screen cap comes from. At the beginning of the scene, Jim's hair is parted on his right side. The files are behind his right shoulder. As the scene progresses the files are behind his left shoulder and his hair is parted on his left side. Doobrah - I guess I need a life, too

I think a lot of us need a life. I don't notice these little things, but they sure are interesting. Just to prove I need a life too, I'm going to watch it right now and see for myself. What did I do before BJ and this board? You know, sometimes I really don't know. I spend all my spare time hanging around the computer. Does that mean I'm addicted? Absolutely!

I didn't "see" it, but Lucy said it was filmed as a reflection in the mirror. Thus the reverse Alice through the Lookinglass. (The shaving scene)
Never thought to post that idea. Just a guess.
Oh, by-the-way, you do have a life, except some of it is spent on this Board.
Later, Carl

Count me in too. I don't know what I did before finding the "blond dude" and all you fun people.
Another possible blooper in Doggone, when he is in the car with Debbie and Sonny, the scar is very light and almost invisible. Person in charge of scar sticker didn't do a good job, or did he cover it with a little make-up?
