I'm not a big movie person (have never seen any of The Godfather movies nor any of the Raiders of the Lost Arks, among others) so it's hard to pick but here it goes: 1. The Sound of Music -- Have seen it every year since I was about 3 and is the only DVD I own aside from all of Ron's movies 2. The Miracle Worker (original, B&W version) 3. Wait Until Dark4. Mystery, Alaska -- there had to be a hockey movie somewhere on my list. 5. At First Sight or The Saint -- Tie. Kilmer's in both. 6. I'd like to add Delivered to the list. Even though it wasn't a major film, I'm fascinated by Ron's creepiness in that movie. #s 2 and 3 I watched only I happened to be around when my father was watching them (he's a classic film buff). They blew me away -- great acting. Wait Until Dark freaked me out. I really liked Wait Until Dark, I didn't know Alan Arkin could be that creepy!

I really liked Wait Until Dark, I didn't know Alan Arkin could be that creepy! That's a classic! One of my favorites starring one of my all-time favorite actresses. My big beef the first time I saw it was that the little weird neighbor kid described the cool VW Bus as a "squatty truck." I owned a similar VW Bus at the time and I took issue with that. Now I just think it's funny.

Not too much of a stretch, but only because hubby bears a striking resemblance to Herman Munster. ;D What color was your bus? Ours was blue on the bottom white on top.

What color was your bus? Ours was blue on the bottom white on top. Mine was blue with white on top too. I wish I had a digital photo of it but it was sold in the early nineties. Very pretty bus. And speaking of top five movies, I want to add one I was recently reminded of. Impromptu! Comedic period piece loosely based on the relationship between the mannish author George Sand and the effeminate composer, Fredrick Chopin. Great cast. Judy Davis, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Julian sands, Mandy Patinkin (for all you Princess Bride fans out there), Bernadette Peters (seems like an odd choice but she is great in this movie--and so fun to hate). I can't believe I forgot to include this movie in my list!
