Oh my gosh, can it get any better! On a side note--why do men assume that women naturally know all there is to know about babies and baby care??? I had never changed a diaper until my nephew was born--must have lived an extremely sheltered life Anyway, the first time I was on solo diaper detail, he presented me with a very messy one. Ewww!!! And he proceed to put his heel in it to boot! I got it done, the diaper didn't fall off and he wasn't scared for life--as far as I know! As to baby names I had some ggg-aunts with unusual names that I thought were kinda cool---Keziah and Jemima.

Let me tell you about my Bible-thumpin', temperence pledge-signin' ancestors, who got their babies names either from the Begats section of the Good Book or Victorian fiction. Are you ready? Jerusha Esmeralda (Aunt Ezzie) Tecorah Katurah (Aunt Cora) Balmie Orilla (Aunt Bang) Robert Lee Rucks (Uncle Lee, and guess who he was named for?) Yeah, we're talkin' rural Alabama. Rick Bragg country. Anyone else out there read All Over But the Shoutin'? I may be in Connecticut, but . . . !

I had an uncle I never knew of until a cousin finally found out where our gggrandparents came from--Kentucky. His first son was named Keturah! Guess its one of those interchangeable names!

So we coiuld be related? Kentucky, Tennessee, Northern Alabama, not all that far apart. Keturah is from the Begats, I believe. Too funny!

Okay, Chapter 7 is now up and running over at ff.net. www.fanfiction.net/s/2561502/7/ Feel free to leave feedback at that site if the urge hits. Also, I will be posting all seven chapters over here a little later today. Thanks again for all the support. I still haven't picked any baby names.

Shmeep, why do I get the impression you enjoy throwing curve balls at the Dunbars? I can only wonder what's next.
The way you've depicted Christie's anxieties and Jim's reaction to them is right on the money. I loved the conversation with Fisk. Great job!

Once again -- already posted at FanFic but Smeep knows how much I love this story:
I don't know how you are doing it - it's like you've left your shoes at the front door and stepped foot into Jim and Christie -- absolutely remarkable. And all the little twists in the progression - imaginative! I have so enjoyed this story from first paragraph to now - can't wait for the next installment!
Superb!

It sounds like Esther knew what she was talking about when she encouraged them to discuss the blindness more in their sessions. That was a great exchange between Christie and Jim.

I'm loving this story! I can't wait to see Jim in the delivery room when the twins are born.
