I knew there was a reason I stayed up tonight! I don't know what to say after a chapter like that. I know there's a lot more to the story and I can't wait to find out what it is!

Cool! They caught Calvin and well, Marty's just being Marty. But what's Jim hiding?

This is great - Marty being Marty, but will he push it too far, in any sense of ordinary, decent ways to behave, this time?
Thanks MLM, a lovely cold Saturday treat.
Cheers

There is the faint chance that this post contains a spoiler, so read at your peril. * * * * * Thank you, mlm for another chapter. I've been following this story with lots of interest and pleasure, hoping that you'd let our guys bring Phil Krause down. You may not have done that -- yet -- but surely that's what you're walking towards. Right? Right. Meanwhile, I like the way you are showing us snippets of Jim's past, and how his current colleagues are reacting to their discoveries, too. (Ah, Marty... So in character. And I love Jim's comment about how if Marty hasn't 'figured that out in two years' then he's not as smart as Jim thought he was. That comment is the perfect combination of compliment and disgust. Like Chris, I noticed this part didn't say 'The End', so... what comes next? Krissie

There is something more than a sense of guilt about Calvin Marshall driving Jim--and I don't think its Christie. And finding the badge and gun under the bed seemed a little too pat. Could Calvin be covering for his half-brother? Marty is being so disgusting. I can understand his concern but sheesh. He did make a valid point that maybe Jim had changed more than they knew since he was blinded but as Jim said, he had worked with them for two years and if they didn't know him by now... Still a lot of unanswered questions.

Loved the scene with Tunney and I LOVED the ending -- sucks to Cat, eh? *Sigh.* I hate that this one is over -- it was one glorious and completely involving ride, mlm88.

I think Krause got off too easy. I hope he comes back in a future fic and get what's coming to him. I am glad that Christie did not allow herself to be manipulated by her older sister. Cat is not nice... I may have a bias but am still glad that the Dunbars were willing to work it out again. Great job, Martha. I am waiting for your next story.

Thanks for posting a new fic! I just read the whole thing. I liked the squad tension again and you got the same dry humor texture we saw in so many of the episodes. The ins and outs of police corruption and internal power struggles are very interesting and you showed us just how hard it is to stay clear of it.
Looking forward to your next fic.

Thank you for a great story Finally they got rid of Phil Krause. I might agree with Lindy that he got off too easy but I think it's better getting rid of him like this than risking going public and failing to prove that he was indeed dirty. I have a feeling that everything he has done over the years can be explained in one way or the other, or he can put the blame on someone else, I'm sure he has his rear covered I'm glad Christie took Jim back, I like them working on their marriage, despite of their fighting I've always had a feeling that there is true love between them somewhere. Karma!!!! Take care and keep smiling - Chris - I'm the romantic fanfic-lover
