Prompted no doubt by mlm828's gentle suggestion that if I was going to have my own fic sub-board I'd better fill it -- I have just posted Chapter One of my latest, entitled Again. Who knows where this stuff comes from? Maybe I just wondered if Jim Dunbar would get into more trouble with a gun . . . or without one. Oh, and this time I swear by all that's holy that you won't have to wait eight months for the last chapter.
Comments and feedback welcome, as always. ;D
Enjoy!
Take care, and, as Chris would say, keep smiling!
Mags

So, okay, I log in today for only the third time in what seems like forever and look what awaits me this time! Perhaps I should go away more often if this is the sort of treat I find on my return!
Oh, Mags, what else is there to say that I haven't already said oddles of times before? While some of us only dream of writing well, there is absolutely no doubt that you do write well. Your descriptions are so perfect, your characters crisp and sharp as usual. And I am so glad you have allowed Miss Mary to crossover to this story - she belongs here!
Love the avenue that you are exploring here too - can't wait to explore more. This is a really terrific start to what promises to be another really terrific fic!

WOW! This is a very compelling beginning -- a real headlong rush into what I'm sure is going to be a most intriguing tale. And another appearance of "Miss Mary." Well done and -- since you ask so nicely -- karma!

Wow, maybe we should all beg more often. As mlm said, this is very compelling from Christie, who is living it all over again, all the way down to Marty. I might actually feel sorry for the guy.
Please don't make us wait too long to find out what happens next. I mean, Jim is supposed to be out of surgery in three or four hours! ;D

I'll beg if this is the result.
Yes, yes, yes, yes!!
Miss Mary, complexity/Russo (he would have been interesting later on, here's the later on!) and an Irish publican of a style I so well recognise. Enough to make my day.
Thanks
Matilda

AWESOME!!!!! Before Blind Justice I've never even heard about fanfiction And here on this board we have so many great fanfic-writers who every now and again spoils us with wonderful stories. Thank you Maggie, karma for a great beginning. Poor Christie, going through that one more time (and of course, poor Jim as well ) I love Karen being mad at Tom and Marty, especially her telling Tom a few truths ;D Marty getting drunk had me laughing, I can easily imagine Marty sitting there feeling guilty and trying to get the bartender to understand. With Miss Mary in the equation this is one fantastic fanfic. You know I'll say it, right Take care and keep smiling - Chris

Oh Maggie, what can I say! You had me from the first line on! When I read the beginning all I could think of was OH NO (as in this scene:) What kind of trouble did he get himself in this time? Then I realized how severley he must have been injured and my heart started racing. I know it's only fiction but... How many of us have actually asked themselves Karens question: What must it be like to be married to Jim Dunbar? So well done! I'm really amazed by all the great ideas you fanfic writers come up with! I can hardly wait to read what happens next. How is Jim? I'm really concerned... That particular scene made me laugh out loud, though: “Did you see Terry?” Christie interrupted. “He’s out in the hall.” “What’s he doing here?” Karen said disgustedly. “Probably wants to give blood.” Karen made a face. “Like Jim’d take it.” “Stop it,” Christie said, her voice muffled by the hand over her mouth. “Don’t make me laugh.” When I read Christie's reply I almost fell from my chair laughing so hard (because these were my exact thoughts) Oh, and this time I swear by all that's holy that you won't have to wait eight months for the last chapter. I'm so glad you said that! And say hi to Miss Mary if you meet her! Big time Karma coming your way for a great first chapter, AGAIN! Doppelganger

Bless you, bless you, bless you all for your kind and enthusiatic responses, for the karma, and for urging me onward. And doppelganger? Your post had me, truly, LOL. As our Oz friends would say, "Good on ya." Thanks, everyone, seriously. Who do I do this for but you? Take care, Mags

Well, actually, I personally have never asked that question.
Just had to say it.

Maggie, thanks so much for a great beginning to another great fanfic, I'm sure. We have been in a fanfic drought and it is so much fun to log on and find a new one. I am really enjoying this story. Can't wait for the next installment. Thanks and karma to you.

*gasping* Oh my gosh, it grabs you and just doesn't let go! How did Terry find out so quickly? Police scanner?? How did he know it was Jim??? And what did Marty do??? I was glad to see Karen finally give Marty a piece of her mind. And come to think of it, I would hate to see what Miss Mary would do.
