Wow! Can't wait to see the pic and any other info you might care to share! It is sooo nice to know that some really care what their fans think and feel and take the time to talk. I met David Letterman ages ago, back when he was the weatherman in Indy. He also had something to do with the 4-H clubs and we had a district meeting and he was there along with Nick Clooney, George's father. They were both very nice to a bunch of kids who were nervous about meeting people we thought of as big-time 'celebrities'!

Awwww...I love you Shmeepy-pooh! I promise everybody that what I posted yesterday is, indeed, true. I will tell you all that with Ron Eldard the old adage: "Handsome is as handsome does" is very true. If any of you have the opportunity to meet him, I am certain that you will be as charmed as we were. He truly deserves all the attention/admiration we have lavished on him. xoxo M. You said you'd share more later. Is it later yet?

I hope this comes out OK. I just scanned this article, which is very small, from today's New York Times. The picture is great, but I don't think the scan is very clear. Anyway, it's a glimpse of Ron as Father Flynn. I hope he's feeling better today. I can hardly wait to see the play on March 11th! I hope it's OK to post this. Shmeep - if it isn't you can go ahead and get rid of it! Thanks.

This night has been absolutely incredible - this weekend one of the most truly amazing things that has ever happened in my life. Barbara Ann, Marsie, Rebecca, Tracy, Jodie and Lori had been planning a New York weekend for the opening of Freedomland since last fall. But when the premiere was cancelled, we decided to meet and have a girls weekend anyway. Then came the fabulous news that Ron was opening on Broadway!
We have just returned to our New York hotel room, having spent 90 minutes at the Walter Kerr Theater, witnessing Ron Eldard as Father Brendan Flynn in Doubt. Without giving anything away for those of you who will be traveling to New York later, the play was fabulous, with many poignant, funny, touching moments and Ron Eldard will literally take your breath away. To say that he is an actor of incredible talent is an understatement.
And, at the end of the play, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting and spending time with Ron. He is gracious, humble, gentle, giving and one of the most genuine, down to earth people you could ever hope to cross paths with.
Thank you, Ron, for taking the time to make each of us feel special and important and for granting us the absolute gift of your talent.
Pictures will follow.

That sounds like the most amazing evening! I am so happy for you (and I will demand more details later, if you know what I mean ). It sounds like your trip went exactly as you had hoped it would. Wow! And just think, this plan started as a Freedomland premiere (in other words, a trip to a movie theatre) and ended up as a backstage chat with Mr. Eldard himself. A bit mind boggling, don't you think? Thank you for sharing with us...and do hurry up with the pics! We're dying over here! (I know! You may have to get home first for that...)

Yeah, as Marty said to Karen, "we're dying here". Pictures as soon as possible to go along with that wonderful description of your evening, puleese. He sounds like such a nice person as we all expected anyway. I'm so happy for you.
