Came across this yummy tidbit and thought other RE fans would enjoy: "Ron made me laugh very hard between scenes, telling me what it was like to try to act when the actors couldn't hear each other (because of the generator), and because the possessed character has to wear "demon" contacts to make her eyes look other worldly, she couldn't really see him either. His impersonation of their impaired communication was a show all by itself. "Demons," the sitcom." "Ron made sure we had lots of red velvet cupcakes. " Barbara Hall thehallmonitor.com/blog2/2007/03/penultimate_demons.htmlOh I am so excited!

It was not mentioned by name, but the new TV Guide mentioned how a new trend seemed to be developing for this fall including "demons". A sign perhaps?

Just read this on a forum from 6 April. It comes from someone on the staff of Demons.
"Yeah, we wrapped shooting in mid-march. Ron is playing the main character. I don't really know what else I'm allowed to say, pilots are big secretive endeavors, so I have to be careful, lest I be fired, and that would be very bad. I can say safely (I think) that there are some pretty neat special effects on this show, and most of them are practical effects, with minimal CG enhancement. That part is pretty cool. That's actually one of my favorite parts of the show.
The past few screenings we've had with producers have gone very very well. The next few weeks will see more screenings going further up the ladder, and we'll know if it gets picked up for series next month, so cross your fingers. "
Crossing fingers, braiding hair, crossing the road, and putting it on my Xmas wish list.

But be cautioned - don't always believe that someone is "part of the show" when they post. One thing I learned from my brother, yes they are bound by contract - he doesn't tell me squat!!! So posting "secretive" info on a board? Not too sure about that.

Update from writer/producer Barbara Hall's blog: We have an edited version of "Demons," which we screened for the studio this weekend. It's an exciting movie. Whether or not it will test well in the Valley and Vegas is the current question. Here's what I know: The film is ambitious and true to its intention, the acting is moving and organic. Ron and Jaime and Harold are all compelling and have great chemistry ... We've been editing and playing with music for many days and are getting very close to locking picture. Friends have been asking what I hear. I hear nothing. Well, that's not true. I hear lots of things which I elect to ignore. With "Judging Amy," we were so completely off the schedule that I just went on vacation. When I returned Sunday night before Up Fronts, I got a call from my frantic agent saying, "Where have you been, you're on the schedule, you have to go to New York!" (Up Fronts is the ceremony held in New York where the networks all announce their schedules. Each network announces on a different day and at a different location. CBS always presents their schedule at Carnegie Hall. The last time I went, The Who performed, which was almost better than getting a show on the air.) With "Joan of Arcadia," we were mostly on the schedule the whole time. Until we were cancelled. Then I didn't find out about it until I landed in New York for Up Fronts. With "Ultra," we were the hottest pilot in production all the way up to scheduling and then we were never in contention. "Demons" seems to have a pretty good shot and we are doing our best to improve its odds. That's all we can know at this point.

In a way that's confusing, but I choose to believe that it will make it onto the fall schedule. Waiting is the hard part.

Heh. I knew it would be just a matter of time before this made it over here..... And I don't think what Barbara Hall wrote is confusing at all. Sometimes they find out a couple of weeks before the Upfronts and there are times they find out at the last minute if the show is on the schedule or not.

Latest from Barbara Hall. "Demons" was shot on film, but it's at least likely that we will shoot the series on 24p.
I welcome any and all questions about past, present and future productions. I can type while I'm watching "The Tudors."
So, any questions? I'd be happy to collate and post them to her.Love, N

Film location? Depends on budget.
