No snow here--just a very very very few flakes mixed in with the rain yesterday. We are a foot above average for rainfall last year (2006) and we had a flash flood advisory out. Its winter for crying out loud!!!! I haven't had to break out a winter hat or slip once on a patch of ice. I did, however, slide in the mud twice over the weekened in the backyard. It wasn't pretty but I did manage to stay on my feet.

I'm posting these on behalf of momoonwez. Here is the snow in Colorado. The margins are fine on my computer. If they mess the thread on yours--let me know and I'll fix them.

Oh that made me think of the blizzard last year when Doubt went on in the middle of it and Ron thanked all the hearty souls who made it there. What a trooper.

Now that is an impressive amount of snow! I heard this morning that they are expecting another system to go through Colorado but hopefully it won't be as severe as the last two. Your pics remind me of the blizzard we had roar through here in the late 70's. I dug my car out but it was still trapped in the driveway for three days until we could dig a path to the road.
Natasha, hope your two mothers are doing better!

Can I just ask a question? Tomorrow in NY is supposed to be 57 degrees. WHERE THE HELL IS WINTER? ? Who cares??? I LOVE THIS!! No ice to fall on, no snow to brush off the car, no cold to freeze my butt off with...I am in heaven. Modified to add: I just checked. No snow in the forcast for the next week! Yayyy! (They don't go any further than that.) While not quite as warm as NY, we are in the mid to high 40's most days. Very warm for the first week of Jan.

Wow...is it really January 6??? It is 6:30 a.m. and the temperature is 64!!! I am leaving to go to work in a few minutes and normally would be warming up the car and scraping the windshield! Whatever the reason, I am lovin' it! It is supposed to reach 68 here today. (Eastern Pennsylvania - right on the New Jersey line - 72 miles west of NYC)

We are asking the same question over here, where is winter? We didn't get any snow so far this winter and while we don't tend to get that much snow, we do have some snow during the winter. It haven't even been freezing, not even at night and the temperatures are like they would be in october, we are now in the middle of the winter!!! Usually we get snow late december or in the beginning of january and it will get really cold for a period of time, but not this year, the temperatures are high and it's raining all the time, not at all winter Sorry to hear that, hope they are both doing better Take care and keep smiling -Chris

It's clear and beautiful, but windy and cool. And it's bone-dry -- humidities below 20%. Where did I put the Chap-stick?
