Seems like things are finally falling into place but are they? Is someone out to bring Krause and Green down? Why move Jim from the 8th; just because they thought that he would be off the case? Is he an unspoken threat to Krause? What is Sonny looking into? Did Jim call him in? These and more questions looking for an answer

The most important things to say are, firstly, thank you for the story and, secondly, that I enjoyed it very much. There were points where I really felt for Jim, and I love a conspiracy.
But... but... but...
That can't be the end, surely! Or, if it is, I hope that there is going to be a sequel... or a series of sequels.
This is where I'm going to stick my head out and disagree with Chris. I WANT to see Krause again... just to see him get his just desserts! I would love to see him brought down.
Also, Bartowski. He seemed like an okay kind of guy. I'd like to see him end up somewhere that appreciates him. Maybe you could get rid of Krause and have him stay on at the 4-0 under new leadership. Maybe he could help bring Krause down...
And Campbell. Okay, so maybe he was wet behind the ears, but isn't it a bit harsh to just transfer him out? Marty could have been a bit nicer. But, then again, I suppose this is Marty.
Whatever you decide to write next, I'll be watching out for it.
Thanks again.
Krissie

Oh, so you disagree I sort of disagree with myself too, I really would not want to see nasty Krause again, but on the other hand, to see him get brought down - preferably by Dunbar - now that would be memorable

This is where I'm going to stick my head out and disagree with Chris. Hey, I just saw, no one ever Karma'ed you, that's sad. I will give you your first karma for having the courage to disagree with me Don't worry, I'm not scary at all, just kidding - or..... maybe not... - Chris

Too bad they couldn't have nailed Krause for something. He surely has tons of skeletons in his closet! At least Jim made it back to the 8th safe and sound. Another good story all around. Thanks, mlm.

Puh-sonsally? (Quoting the Great Kate in Desk Set here.) I loved the way this ended. There is nothing better than fiction that involves the reader and leaves them wanting more. I'm thinking of the last line of The Sun Also Rises . . . "Yes, isn't it pretty to think so?" And also the last line of the great GWTW, in which we, after 1,037 pages, were left wanting more. That, I firmly believe, is the mark of a great writer: that you are left wanting -- craving! -- more. Brava, mlm88! Loved this. Thank you! I cannot wait for Jim's next case, in your more than capable hands. AND MORE THAN A LITTLE KARMA.

Wow! I to am sorry it's over. Chris, that's a great idea. Jim should get Krause! But, maybe it's good that we want more too. Sigh. Who knows. I was cheering when Jim went back to the 8th. That was a great story.

Good job, Mlm! Loved it.
Whatever you end up writing next, it's nice to know you have created such a great villain and that he's sure to be lurking about out there. I'm glad you didn't bring him down all at once. I still think there's more to this mystery and Jim's "transfer" than was stated and I would love for that to be revisited in the future. Thanks for the entertainment!

I just re-read the whole story, MLM. Wow. I love the way it all ties together in the end and the journey was nerve racking, emotional and gritty. I especially admire the way it was the dumpster case he was pulled off that was the amunition to get Greene. Thanks so much for such a treat! My arms can relax, my fingernails can grow back and I can breathe again, knowing Jimmy is back. ;D Natascha

Thank you, thank you, thank you -- first, for reading the story and second, for all of your kind comments about it. I just want to respond to a couple of questions and comments.
I very much appreciate that people were sorry to see the story end and want more. At this time, I honestly can't say whether there will be a sequel. I didn't plan to write one, but you never know when inspiration will strike or what form it may take. I can say with certainty that there will be no instant sequels. I started writing this story well before Christmas. However, "the odds are pretty good" that I haven't written my last Blind Justice fic.
I agree it would have been nice if someone (preferably Jim) took down Phil Krause, but it just doesn't work that way. The Phil Krauses of this world are very skilled at avoiding or deflecting the consequences of their bad behavior, and often don't get their just desserts. Yes, this is fiction, but I like to think it's somewhat based on reality. So it may not have been a total "happy ending," but it was the one that worked for me. Besides, as has been pointed out, the door may be open for another appearance by Krause. Who knows?
Finally, I came up with my own answer to the question about the Braille inscription on the picture frame. I think it's what Christie said to Jim when she gave him the "Mulligan": "You're worth it."
